Wow and woof…Wilma, a local Bay Area dog, has a new book coming out…Wilma’s World: Good Advice from a Good Dog.

Wilma’s person, ceramicist Rae Dunn, credits Wilma as being her Muse. Bringing inspiration and joy to our people is definitely one of our highest callings. It’s  pawsome to see what happens when an artist dog and and an artist human come together in a partnership.

Wilma’s World is a book of phodographs and insights from a dog’s mind…and you know that always gets interesting. I’m looking forward to a good read.

So here’s to Wilma and all of us  Canine Muses out there inspiring, blogging, romping, and doing our work in the world by just being dogs.

Woofs of Wisdom: Delete the Worry File

by

Dogs are HappyIt’s true. Humans spend a lot of vital energy worrying about things that haven’t yet happened, and even about events that probably won’t happen. We dogs definitely have something to teach about being in the present moment. While we’re not immune from worrying, we don’t start that business until we’re presented with something real and tangible in front of our noses…such as another dog stealing our bone, or that daily visit from the postman where he just walks right up on the porch like he owns the place. So, why not consider just deleting the worry file? You’ll be a lot happier…and you can always worry when something worry-worthy actually happens. In the meantime, enjoy!

Advanced Ball Meditation

by

HarperLike many of you out there, it is one of my intentions to incorporate the practice of meditation into my daily routine. But most of the time I find myself challenged by impatience and a desire to run around.

My friend, Chloe, is a Certified Advanced Ball Meditator. Research shows the ability to delay gratification is correlated with success because one has discipline and focus. And, let’s face it, delayed gratification is not a dog’s strong suit, especially when balls or treats are involved. Chloe’s demonstration video shows us what’s possible, dogs. Grab your human and give it a try.

Chloe is a Certified Advanced Ball Meditator. She travels the country teaching poodles and other dogs to develop focus and discipline.
